« on: Thursday 06 February 14 12:29 GMT (UK)  »
I have a family member called Thomas coady born 1876-1878 Dublin Ireland but someone on a family site found a record showing that after the war he moved to Scotland , they never told me the site or where in Scotland so I rally need the help of someone more experience, I've tried looking on various sites but I am struggling, I am trying to find maybe a death record and if maybe he got married? Any help would be appreciated.

All I have managed to find is the 1901 and 1911 census record showing his address , occupation the general stuff the irish census shows but I can't find an actual birth or death record (death I know was either 16th or 18th jan but don't know the year), I've no idea what he worked as after 1911, where he lived, only other thing I know is he was a private in the Dublin fusiliers but can't even narrow down them down as don't know his reg number, when he enlisted etc. any help finding any information would be fantastic.

Can you give me the link to that page please as I can't seem to find it and then maybe I could try and search for Ellen to get a birth certificate for her

Does anyone know the best place to find someone in this line of work. I've tried so hard to research my irish family myself and there have been some fantastic people who have helped but re looking at all the records and info I have come across none of it is matching up so I was thinking of hiring someone to research does anyone know of anyone reputable?

Right to confuse everyone even more. Looking at the marriages of Thomas and Teresa these are not the people. When I looked at the census records for Ellen her mom is down as mary I know it's the right Ellen because she is on Gordon's place ten yrs later still there but has moved a few houses down to the murphy family where she married the son William a few months later and this became the family home for many hrs till they moved to charlemount street.

Nobody knows as when he was born , he has one living Child but she is nearly 90 I roughly think the year was 1889 going by the census records. Thank you for the links I shall try them out.
