i also have Batty in my family tree, my G'grandmother was Rachael or Rebecca born 1829.  Her parents were Joseph & Ann Batty.  Joseph is on 1851 cencus as a shoemaker, birthplace Thurlstone Y'shire, Ann also Thurlstone.  Rachael married a John Buckley, they had 7 children, Caroline 1848. James 1852, John 1854, Clemance A 1856, Sarah 1868, Mary Ann 1869, George Henry 1871 ( my grandfather )  thier address on the 1871 cencus is 172 Bank, Thurlstone, Wortley Y'Shire.   Also on a family tree done a few years ago, an Elizabeth Gaunt born 1799 marries a John Buckley.
She desends from   a Judith Moatson ? & Jonathan Gaunt, they married in 1685.   In between there are a Joseph Gaunt 1729, Thomas Gaunt 1775, Elizabeth Gaunt 1799,  there is also another Joseph Gaunt but no birth year.

1871 cencus, my Buckley's lived in Thurlstone, Y'shire.  John Buckley born 1820, his wife Rebecca born 1830 ( her maiden name was Batty )  thier children are as follows, James born 1852, John born 1854, Clemance A born 1856, Sarah born 1868, Mary Ann born 1869, George Henry born 1871 ( my grandfather ) .   A family tree shows that an Elizabeth Gaunt born 1799 married John Buckley born 1777.   She is a descendant of a Jonathan Gaunt. It also shows that the Buckley name originated from Buckley Hall.
