Daniel was the son of Timothy Sullivan born 1785, Cahersiveen and Ellen Driscoll born 1787,  They both died in Colchester, Conn.

Timothy Sullivan was the son of Timothy Sullivan born 1765 , Killarney and Mary Roche born 1765.  They were married in Killarney in 1784.   I do not have the other children born to this marriage.

Thanks again - appreciate that information.    I never thought the Sore Eye Dan had anything to do with the surname - just thought it was some sort of nickname.

Did I mention that Daniel Sullivan went by the nickname Sore Eye Dan.   He worked at the Rubber Mills in Colchester, Ct. with another Daniel Sullivan who did not use a nickname.

Thanks Bob
I haven't searched for the Naturalizatin papers for him yet, because I have so many unknowns on him, including an exact age.  His headstone says one thing and Census records vary as much as eight years.

Latest information has it that they probably married in Ireland - Cahersiveen, around 1853 and had a daughter Mary in 1854.  It was around that time they migrated to the US.   Second daughter Ellen was born in the States in 1856

Well, I wish you better luck in your research then I have been having.   The name Daniel Sullivan is as common as John Smith or Jane Doe.
I have had no luck with the parish (Daniel O'Connell) - all they told me was that, that Parish was not in existance in 1829, but failed to tell me what Parish's were available in those years.
