Roscommon / Re: the Roscommon volunteers

Hi, My grandmother was from Roscommon.  Her Brother John Joe Robinson was a Volunteer.  My Great Uncle: John Joe Robinson (Moneenbog, Tarmonbarry)
“John was the Captain of Ruskey Coy. in the 3rd Battalion North Roscommon. He organized and trained sixty-five men from 1917-1918."  I got this info from the book
“They put the Flag a Flyin’” The Roscommon Volunteers. By Kathleen Hegarty Thorne.
I saw on the post by Kanae Gurney on the Hanily family.  My G-grandmother was Margaret Hanley Robinson.  The spelling I have maybe wrong.  Did find the Robinsons in the 1901 and the 1911 census. But because my GreatGrandfather's name, John Robinson is so common I'm having a hard time finding them before that.
