Happy new year Just keeping in touch, here is a brief outline of what I have on Thomas's ancestors nothing new for you though as far as the descendants go .
Ancestors of Thomas TURNBULL
Thomas TURNBULL (chr.28 Aug 1788-Hawick,) son of
George TURNBULL (m.1 Jan 1774) and
 Elizabeth WILSON (b.17 Apr 1753)Elizabeth was the daughter of
Walter WILSON (c.9 Mar 1712-Hawick,Roxburgh,Scotland;m.28 Feb 1752;d.18 Feb 1795-(Walter was the son of John Wilson of Branxholm and Margaret Crow)and
Catherine OLIVER (c.23 Apr 1732-Hawick,Roxburgh,Scotland;d.7 Jan 1788-Aged  56)This Catherine was the daughter of
Robert OLIVER (b.1699;m.26 Jan 1728;d.12 Jan 1825-aged 26)
And Bessie BLACKHALL (c.26 Sep 1703-Selkirk,Bessies father was  John BLACKHALL (m.10 Feb 1703) and her mother was
Catherine CURROR
Goerge Turnbull was a Draper of 14 High street, Hawick, Roxburgh,

Hi Jeanette I am linked to your Turnbulls because I am descended from Walter Wilson father of your  Elizabeth Wilson who married George Turnbull.
I got lots of info off a film (1. Jame H Haining, Hawick MIs.)at the LDS which contains wonderful information on people of this area. Well worth having a look if you can.
I photocopied some of them which I will have a look at and see if I can find more for you.

Hi Thisty if you are at the Wilton cemetery again could you please keep an eye out for a Margaret Brodie who I think died around 1840 to 1841 she had a son in 1840 Robert Brodie Wilson but she did not marry his father Walter. I think she was from Selkirk. Her father was also Walter of Black Bull Inn.
