I do have this cert - June quarter 1864 of Susannah Southwell, vol  8e page 76, and unfortunately It's not my Susannah.  I'll keep trying further afield I guess.

Unwanted Birth, Marriage, Death Certs N to S / Death Certificates for Susannah SOUTHWELL

I have the following Death Certificates for Susannah SOUTHWELL
(1)Date of death: 15 May 1861, Where: Back Millgate, Rawtenstall, Lanc. Age 31 years, Daughter of Joseph SOUTHWELL Ag lab, Cause of death: Pneumonia - 14 days.

(2) Date of death: 2 May, 1864, Where: Tunstead Mill, Stacksteads Lanc., Age 73 yrs, Widow of John SOUTHWELL, Cotton Mixer, cause of death: Paralysis - 1 week.

(3) 18 Dec 1864; Where: Garibaldi St, Walsden(?), Todmorden, York & Lanc., Age 79 yrs, Widow of John SOUTHWELL, Stone cutter, cause of death: old age.

Yes, I have this death certificate but unfortunately it's not the Susannah I'm looking for. This is where it's become expensive for me. Thanking you Deb

Have you looked at this death from the FreeBMD Index in the Haslingden Reg District where she was living in 1861? Edit - On the original record the reference numbers are very faint

Perhaps I've mislead myself!
Should I be looking at Rawtenstall and not Rossendale?
And is Rawtenstall in Cambs or Lancs?
I have on record:
1861 Lancashire Strays Index - Rossendale, Lanc
Address is shown as 'Brick Field, Lower Booths'

Susannah SOUTHWELL Place of origin: Wimblington, Head, Age 30 yrs.
Joseph SOUTHWELL of Wimblington, Son, Operative Cotton Mill, Age 14 yrs.
John SOUTHWELL of Wimblington, Son, Operative Cotton Mill, Age 11 yrs.

Hi Kay,

I really don't know if I have checked this info, but will investigate.
Because Susannah & sons went to Lancashire as per the Cambridgeshire Strays of 1861 Rossendale, Lanc census, I've been looking into a Marriage or death in Lancashire for Susannah SOUTHWELL.
John (youngest son) settled in Lancs, and Joseph (eldest son) left England on 1st April, 1866 on ship Netherby to Australia (age 19).
I have several death certs on various Susannah's but to date have ha no luck.

I am looking for any help on offer for: Susannah SOUTHWELL who was born c 1830
and baptised 5 Dec 1833, Doddington, Cambs.
I have info on her Parents -Robert & Betty (Elizabeth) SOUTHWELL and her siblings and she had 2 children - Joseph & John whom I have info on also but it appears that after 1861 Susannah disappears.
I have checked deaths and marriages but haven't found any link and I've been trying to solve Susannah's past for almost 25 years.
 
Susannah is believed to be 3 yrs old when baptised, and therefore 16 yrs when she had Joseph, her first son.

1841 Census (Hookes Drove) Wisbech shows: Susanna age 11 born in this parish.

 1851 Census - Wimblington  Susan (Grandmother) aged 73 yrs was shown to reside at Eastwood End with Susannah  SOUTHWELL aged 21, Joseph aged 5 and John 8 months - all residing at the BULLUPS/BILLUPS residence.

(Cambridgeshire Strays) 1861 Rossendale, Lanc census: Susannah aged 30 born Wimblington with her 2 sons Joseph aged 14 born Wimblington and John aged 11 yrs born Wimblington - no husband listed.  The 1861 census at Lancashire was taken on 7.4.1861 at Rossendale, Lancashire.(Went up North to find work?)

Susannah signed Joseph's Birth Certificate with "X".Source # 203

Susanna SOUTHWELL appears on IGI: Gender: Female. Christening: 25 December 1833 Doddington, Cambridge, Eng.
Any hints or help would be very much appreciated
