Hi Rosie99,

I can't access the link that you provided.
I believe that George and his immediate family resided around or in Doncaster.

Cheers

Hi Judy,

Thank you for the suggestions. They could be "the ones".

Will research the Alice baptised 1898. She named two of her children John and Ann. Is it possible that her age was incorrect on her death certificate? Did they do these sort of things back then?

On her death certificate it says that she was aged 40 years when she died in February 1840 - this was 6 days after George died in 1840. He was aged 37 years. They both died at Doncaster. So George baptised 1803 Newark on Trent could be the one.

Was trying to work out the options to post on, as I am unsure of geographies of the varies counties of England.

The family that I am researching seemed to live in or around Yorkshire - in particular the West Riding areas - Harrogate etc

Cheers

Hi Paul,

I agree, our ancestors did live in difficult times, but I believe that hopefully, each generation learns valuable lessons , from the previous generations.

So as promised - the death certificate details for Frances and John Morrell.

John Morrell - died 1st July 1931,  at Prospect House, Nidd Road, Brearton, Knaresborough, aged 76 years. John is listed as a stone mason.

Frances Morrell - died 6th December 1942 at Post office House, Brearton, Knaresborough, aged 80 years.

Big thank you for all your help...another piece of the puzzle fits.

Cheers

Thank you both for your information.

Yes that is the right person. Have ordered her death certificate online, which will provide me with the relevant details.

Have downloaded the details from Rookwood Cemetery website. Just have to work out what the codes mean. They are not easy to decipher.

Cheers and big thank you

Looking for the final resting place for DOROTHY JEAN BUTCHER. Believe she was under 1 year when she died in 1894, in Sydney NSW.

Parents were Samuel and Kate Butcher.

Believe she is buried in the Balmain South Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on 24th February 1894 in South Australia.

Would appreciate any help finding her final resting place.

Hi Stan,

Would the same ruling apply if they married at the Thirsk Registery office ?  Certificate states "by certificate" before me.

Also have another family member who married in the Primitive Methodist Chapel "by licence"?
She was aged 20 years, he 24 years.
