Barnsley council are pretty good at telling me where to find my relatives.

or a search on http://www.cemeteries.org.uk/  shows an Ann Pape buried in the borough between 1901 - 1909 but tokens are needed for the cemetery and grave info.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Annie Maria Lord - 1891 census?
« on: Wednesday 18 February 15 18:12 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all

I am trying to find Annie Maria Lord on the 1891 census, she would be abt 12 yr old.

I know that she was born abt 1879 in South Elmsall, her parents were William Lord & Emma Hammerton.  In 1881 she was living in Wosbrough, age 2.  In 1901 she married Frederick Dyson in Wath upon Dearne.  I know she died in 1907.

I think there were 3 children to this marriage.  Frederick, William and Annie all who are now deceased.

Thanks.

Waterford / Looby's in Dungarvan
« on: Thursday 30 October 14 18:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I am trying to research my Irish roots, from my maternal grandfathers side.  I have very little to go on apart from my great grandfather was called Edmund Looby and born in Dungarvan about 1895 and died in 1972 in Dungarvan.  I think he may have married a woman with the surname of Driscoll or O'Driscoll.  His children that I know of are called Martin (my grandfather), Catherine, John or possibly Jack, Phylis and Maureen who I think became a nun.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If possible I'd like to obtain a copy of his marriage certificate.

Worcestershire / Thomas Lewis 1850s
« on: Tuesday 07 October 14 16:09 BST (UK)  »
Hi I'm trying to more info on Thomas Lewis, who was my 5 x great grandfather.  I have a Thomas in the 1851 census age 80 living in Wolverly with Maria Lewis (daughter in law) and James Lewis (It has James down as nephew I think this may be wrong though).  Also listed on this census are Rebbecca Hall age 40, Maria Crump age 14 & Benjamin Hayward age 41.

Thomas's son James Lewis snr died around 1846, so I think this is how Maria ended up living with her father in law.

I am thinking that Thomas may have died between this census and the next, so I'd like to find a death record for him and any info pre 1851 census.

Any help will be kindly appreciated.
