Thank you for the information about 1860's which rules out the Belarussians and Lithuanians who came over to Dundee around 1900 and actually met in Scotland before going on to follow the coal in Bothwell and Lochgelly.

Certainly have two sets of grandparents born about 1840's who may fit the bill coming from Gilmerton and Bo'ness but no family from anywhere around Auchterarder.........

Be interested to find out if anyone has details on when Henderson's Photographer was actually situated in Auchterarder.

Thanks again.

These were found in my wife's grandmother's stuff......Born 1905.

Very poor photo quality taken by Henderson in Auchterarder

Think they may be her father b Lithuania 1875 and mother b Belarus 1881

Married Bothwell 1902 and lived in Lochgelly, Fife.

Any clues to the date and anything about their clothing would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Norrie,

Just in from late backshift to find your nice little photograph and you were right enough as that "G" does look like a "C".

Definitely Ganley though and Maggie Reddek whose parents were Russian.

Thanks again............

That will be Bartholomew Ganley who married Margaret Reddek.

Photograph would be nice.

Thanks again.

Hi Norrie,

I would be interested in details of the Reddek inscriptions.

Peter (1) 1913, John (2) 1913, both died in infancy, Anthony 1928, Ursula 1951 and any other Reddeks.

Also Ruth Reddek (5) 1935 who died in Dundee but was from Lochgelly.

The Russian family name spelling varied.

Reddek, Redek, Reddeck, etc and  then "changed" to Malone.

Thanks in advance for this kind offer.
