Another possibility is to try the bookshop at the Manchester & Lancs FHS. You can see what they have on the website. I haven't looked recently but they used to have quite an impressive library of publications.

I notice you have on your post that you are intrested in Silk Weavers , well my ancestors came fro Scotland and were Campbells  , they settled in Manchester in about 1828and the next few generations are still here (I think) but I want to get information on the Silk Weavers to see if I can trace their daily work  I also need to find out where in Scotland they came from , any info you can help with will be appreciated

I have just started researching my wifes side of the family which is from Belfast
They are Campbells but my dates are more advanced than yours
I have

David Campbell  b 1912 in Belfast died 1974

David was the son of Alexander Campbell and Sarah Campbell   b 1887-1888  married 1911    ( Sarah maiden name was Campbell, her father was Thomas Campbell   b   abt 1865)
I believe Alexander Campbell married again to Catherine Mcclean

Alex Campbell s father  was also called Alexander  b abt 1865 in Scotland and he was a soldier   not sure who but i'm told one of the Alexander  Campbells died in the battle of the Somme
