Renfrewshire / "North Poorhouse" in Paisley?
« on: Thursday 01 August 13 19:58 BST (UK)  »
I have the following birth record:

Mary JAMIESON 3rd July 1895, North Poorhouse Paisley
Mother: Mary JAMIESON (Farm Servant) of 28 P?????? Road, Glasgow

Does anyone know what another name for the "NORTH POORHOUSE" would of been in 1895?  Also, where would the POOR records for this place be today?

Thanks! This child could be my great grandmother!

Scotland / Need to Hire A Researcher - Scotland

My Grandmother had 7 sisters and only two of them are still living.  They are in their 90s and I'm going to see them in a few weeks at family reunion.  I really would like someone to take the info I have and run with it for a week or so to see what they find.  Main areas will be - Lanarkshire and Renfrenshire ... Surnames will be Arnott and Jamieson .... If you're interested or know of a "reasonable priced" researcher, please let me know asap ... Thanks!
