Hi,

so sorry not been back on the site, my hubby has been poorly so i've been running around like a headless chicken.... I've sent you an email, but just to confirm, this is definitely the right family, i've  jusy been speaking to Jim Timmons, he's the son of John and May Mternagh and he confirmed his mum had a brother Jim who was indeed a postman. Gotta run now, but will try to pop back this evening.

Don't know where to start - this is so exciting!!! I know a fair few of the family, the majority of those I know are in the uk, though some are in Ireland (some still in Rathdrum). I hope your husband is sitting down, I can think of about 14 of his first cousins (still alive) just off the top of my head right now. Most of those have at least two children and then there's the next generation too......! Most are scattered around the Southeast of England, London, Surrey, Kent and a few elsewhere.  One of Mum's cousins has an incredible memory of their childhood, so I'll give him a ring over the weekend and see what he remembers hearing about his grandad's first family. Take care & speak soon x

Hi Natalie, Grandad was born around that time, i remember a few years ago mum saying he would have been 100! From what I've read in these posts it seems very likely. My mum has mentioned uncle Lar (Lawrence); uncle Jack (John?); his wife May, (born a Mernagh); aunt julia and some others. Though, there was also uncle Des (i'm sure it transpired at his funeral that he had been baptised a different name, though i may have that wrong). Mum's grandparents were Lawrence and Julia and there is a vague feeling/memory that her grandfather had been married before.

P.s. Mum's just called and grandad, we think was born in 1906.P

Hi, I'm one of Thomas Timmons' grandchildren, please contact me as there are three branches of this family we're in contact with and would love to fill in some gaps.
