Taken from R M Owen's book 'The Street Names of Denbigh'

COPENHAGEN - There once stood a number of houses called Copenhagen Place on this site, to the east of St Mary's Church. The 1871 Census shows no fewer than 27 houses bearing this name.
The name was given to commemorate Nelson's famous victory over the Danish fleet in 1801.

Unfortunately I have really struggled to locate records on Martin Murray.  His death certificate in 1857 has his age as 60.   His Wife Sarah died in Wales in 1894 aged 98.
I've struggled to find any clues not just in Co. Mayo, but throughout Ireland.

I'm having real difficulty finding any further details on my 2x great grandfather, Martin Murray.
He appears on the 1851 Census living in Wales and is listed as born in Ireland.
He died in 1857 and his occupation was a School Master.
On the 1851 Census he is living with his Wife (Sarah) and family in Denbigh, Wales. He is living with a Patrick McFadden & family, who are listed as a relatives.  On the 1871 Census Patrick McFadden has his birthplace as Westport.
Coincidentally Martin Murray's Daughter Mary, married a Michael Riley in 1857 in Wales, who I believe was born in Swinford.

Many thanks in advance.

Dublin / Dublin Streets.

I'm visiting Dublin in April, and would like to take some photos of locations relating to my Great Uncle.
His name was William Owen Roberts, he was a Sergeant in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and his marriage certificate has his residence as Portland Street.
His wife was Marie Brabazon and her residence was 1 Rosemount Terrace.  They married in 1913 at St Paul RC, in the district of number 3 North City, in the union of North Dublin.

Are the above streets and church still accessible?

Many thanks in advance.

My Great Uncle died in King's College Hospital in 1988. He lived in Somerleyton Road, SW9.
I'm trying to find where he is buried.   How many burial grounds in Lambeth?

Many thanks.  Would the records office in Ruthin keep info on former county School employees?

Hi Mympwy,

Sorry i'm unable to respond to the private message facility as i've yet to make 3 postings on the RootsChat forum.
I've visited the grave of Edward Roberts in Abbeville last year. I have photos, and his birth certificate,
Edward Roberts is on the 1911 Census living at 88 Henllan Street, Denbigh.
My Grandfather is on the same 1911 Census, Arthur Roberts aged 6.
I've been checking family Census records for the last year, I was unaware that Edward Roberts was married. It is a pleasant surprise.

Many thanks

Richard

Trying to find info on my Great Great Great Grandfather, Martin Murray.
He was born in Ireland and is on the 1851 Census as living in Henllan Street, Denbigh, occupation is School Master.
I'm assuming he would have connections with the old National School in Lenton Pool, Denbigh?
