Hi Lesley

This is my family line Samuel Mealor and Ann Huntingdon were my 3x Great Grandparents.

I have a fair bit of information in my tree from others that have started research as well as census entries for many of the family including the Penketh and Parrs that took over the farm as it was passed down through the generations.

I'd be interested in your connection to the family.

Regards

I managed to find out where Robert McFarlane and Margaret McFarlane nee Forrest are buried.
Plot 290 in Inverkip Street Cemetery so I'll be visiting on Friday.

No burial location for Philip Plage death 27 Jun 1874 Greenock and his wife Margaret Plage nee McFarlane death 19 Nov 1875 Greenock.

Watt Library and inverclyde burial had no record of a burial for them so at a loss to find out where they're buried :(

Hi Elaine

Thanks for your quick response.
No the name is only in England and Australia for our family.
All of my Scottish relations with the family name have died out although the origin of the surname is German.
I haven't managed to make the link to Germany hitting a brick wall at my 3x great grandfather Philip Plage (the one buried in Greenock) and his parents were Philip Plage and Juliet ?.

Philip who was married to Margaret McFarlane was nationialised as a Scottish citizen in 1854 although he lived in Greenock from 1842.

I will see if I can contact Inverclyde council burials for the plot details on all of the family as I've got most of the death dates already.

Renfrewshire / Greenock cemetery could someone please do a lookup for me?

Hi

I'm a new member although I've been a genealogist for the past 23 years.
My Scottish ancestry is in the Greenock and Partick areas.

My ancestors that I wish to find their graves in Greenock are:

Philip Plage born 11 Jan 1814 Livorno, Italy died 27 Jan 1874 Greenock, Renfrewshire
Margaret McFarlane Plage born 04 Aug 1813 Greenock died 19 Nov 1875 Greenock

Margaret Forrest McFarlane born 1787 Greenock died 07 Jan 1865 Greenock
Robert McFarlane Born 1781 Greenock died after 1841 Greenock ?

I am visiting for work in Paisley on 31 May and 01 Jun this year and have 3 of the addresses of where my ancestors lived so I will be driving the short distance to Greenock and would like to visit their graves if I can locate them.

I am assuming that they'll be buried in the current Greenock cemetery with the exception of Robert who may be in the old cemetery depending on when he died.

Thanks in advance for all who can offer help.
