Hi keen17,
Are we talking about the same John Hele who married  SUSANNA MOORE:
28 AUG 1827  in Alphington, Devon, Census's show him coming from Devonport in Plymouth,a Tailor-Postman then a Postmaster.
Susanna Name:  Susan Hele
Birth:  abt 1799      Death:  Mar 1870 - St Thomas, Devon.

He went on to Marry  Elizabeth Payne 1870 Oct-Nov-Dec    St Thomas  Devon.
Volume 5 Page 71.
If you ordered this Marriage Certificate you would get his Fathers name and Profession, this would give you a solid base to work from, even there witnesses could shed further light on his family.
If You want the Parish Record you would need to contact :

Devon / Re: WILLIAM HENRY HEALE b1832 Disappearance.
« on: Thursday 01 February 07 21:15 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Deb,
Thanks for all your help,Ruth Amelia Heale b1834 did marry Thomas Ladd in 1862 and had 1 son Thomas Frederick William Ladd in 1864.
She was indeed working with her brother George Frederick Heale b1846 as per the 1861 Census you found, there brothers disappearance is a mystery though.
William Henry Heale Snr' b1799 in Ugborough Devon, was injured whilst serving in the Royal Navy and hospitalized at the Greenwich Royal Naval Hospital,I believe Ruth his wife gave birth to my missing William b1832 in Kent for this reason,'theres never been an association with Kent',before or after this event.
FamilySearch.org gives his birth as 26th Apr 1832.
Thanks again,I shall keep plodding on.

I can't thank you all enough for your suggestions, FamilySearch.org : WILLIAM HENRY HEALE b' 26th Apr' 1832 in Saint Mary Magdalene,Woolich,Kent and Christening 13th May 1832,St Mary Magdalene,Woolich,Kent,England.
1841 Census there living with the Underhays in Stoke Damerel,Devonport and lists family as all born in County, which is wrong as his Sister,Mother and Grandmother are Cornish his Father b 1799 in Ugborough,Devon.Between the 1841 Census and 1851 census his Father William H Heale had gone from being a Sergeant in the North Devon Malitia to a Greenwich Pensioner.
1851 C' Barnstaple:
William Heale  51 Greenwich Pensioner born in Ugborough Devon.
Ruth        "      42      Wife                          "    in Wllcove Cornwall.
William H  "     18      Son Cabinet Maker App' born in Woolich Kent.
Ruth A      "     17      Dau' Milliner                        "   in Willcove Cornwall.
George F  "       4      Son  Scholar                       "   in Barnstaple Devon.
All disappear bar George F 1861 Census living in Stoke Damerel,Devon.
1871 Census all back in Stoke Damerel and still missing the above William.
There are a number of William Heale's marrying in the 1850s in Devon including 1 in 1853 Barnstaple  :-\ .
As a last resort I could get GRO too do a search ££££££££ ??? .
Thanks Again  Bernie

Hi Everyone,
My last record of William Henry Heale is on the 1851C,as an App' Cabinet Maker aged 18 and living with family in Barnstaple,I can't pin down any record of him after this date in Census,Marriage or Death.By 1871 the family are using Hele and no luck even with this spelling.
Any help greatfully received.
