Hello, here's hoping that someone might be able to help me. I am struggling to find the parents of Goss Muddock (Muttock) born 1740-1823 in the Redlingfield area of Suffolk. Also any siblings of his. He was married to Elizabeth Meen. Thank you.

Can anyone help me please. I am busy researching my family tree on the Muttock family. They originate from Redlingfield/Eye area of Suffolk. I am looking for the parents of William Muttock (born 1814 in Redlingfield) & married to an Ami Marguram? Also any siblings of Williams. Thank you.

Family History Beginners Board / adoption

Hello, my name is Sue. I wonder if anyone out there can help me. Here is my story: In 1943, in Glympton, Oxfordshire, my Auntie gave birth to a baby at 17 years of age, out of wedlock. The local Vicar & Salvation Army lady dealt with the matter. The baby was adopted (we know the name & date of birth of the baby but we have been told that her name would have been changed at the point of adoption)). My Auntie was put in the Workhouse in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. I have been trying to trace the baby (my cousin), who would now be 70. The Salvation Army do not deal with adoptions & gave me the number of Norcap based in Wheatley, Oxfordshire (who I have now found out have sadly gone out of business, due to financial problems). So I have now registered with the General Register Office (Adoptions Section). Could anyone point me in any other directions? Thank you.  :)
