Hi Ellie, being a researcher I'm sure you have already found this site.  www.Staffordshire.gov.uk/leisure/archive, here you will find lots of papers regarding the Bill family.  I have been researching them myself as part of my family tree.  Apparently there is a pedigree at this archive that you can access.  Could you let me know where the letters you mention are now stored and can they be accessed by the public?
