Sussex / Re: Samuel Brook/Elizabeth Chandler Warbleton/Mayfield
« on: Monday 01 April 13 18:40 BST (UK) »Hi, I've just come accross this site so don't know if anyone is still interested but I'm descended from Samuel Brook (born 1771 died 1848) who I have listed with a whole lot more Samuel Brooks. My list is as follows -
Samuel Brook born 1629 died 1702
Samuel Brook born 1671 died 1762
Samuel Brook born 1771 died 1848 (- obviously not son of above but ?nephew - was John who you mention, younger brother to Samuel who died in 1762?)
Samuel Brook born 1796 died 1890 - farmed at Mayfield, Sussex - ? Froghole Farm.
Samuel Brook born 1856 died 1936
Samuel Arthur Brook born 1883 died ?1965 - my Grandfather
Samuel Arthur Brook born 1919 died 2003 - my Father
I have probably got a lot more info but would have to rummage around in the attic for it - which I will do at some stage!
Sorry for the considerable delay, I am directly descended from Brooks in Warbleton and Hellingly area. I have not been able to trace anything prior to my GGGF Jasper Brook, born about 1806 in Warbleton. I would apreciate more info surrounding Brook in the area.
