i first put this request on in Dec 2022.
i have tried the sites which previous contributors have suggested, with no success on Stephen parents.
on Family search website i have traced his wife family back to 1607 it gives Stephen birth as 26 Feb 1797 in Rathmell North Yorkshire he married Elizabeth Gill on 3 April 1820 in Giggleswick Yorkshire.
but it gives no more information on Stephen.
i also found his grave on Find A Grave site in settle along side his wife.
I am thinking that Stephen is a brick wall that cannot be cracked.

I have got the information about the 1851 census from his father John Hayhurst notes on the family tree stating that he lived with Robert in 1851, i have not seen the actual census.
Robert Hayhurst aged 55yrs will check that one.

i am trying to find a death for Robert Hayhurst born 4 may 1807 Bashall Eaves or Mitton his parents John Hayhurst and Jane Brogden.
He was alive in 1851 because i have found him in the 1851 census but cannot find anything else for him. I do not know if he married.
I have put this on North Yorkshire board because at the time he was living these places were in that county, they are now part of Lancashire.
