Lovely to hear from you, we are certainly all part of the same family.  I hope I have worked it out right that you and I are 4th cousins.

Please post another message on this board then I can pm you.

It looks like nebo was born 1870 -not 1871- so you could look up their birth reg's on FreeBMD

on 1871 census Nebo is 8mths old

there is birth reg FreeBMD (which is free for you to view)

Hi I think I might have some useful information for you about the Ellis family.  My mother and her sister are the surviving grand children of Tolitha Cumi and James Steadman, there was another sister and a brother now sadly passed away.  My Mother and Aunt still live in the Wolverhampton area. Tolitha Cumi died in the 1970s She lived for many years in Blakenhall , Wolverhampton, James died before the second world war having been in the boar war and 1st war.   Aunt Dinah (Lavinia) did exist we visited her a few times when we were children  She lived in Waterfoot near Manchester Her surname then was Cartwright and she was a widow.  My late Aunt used to visit Jim Ellis and his family in Coventry until their deaths and his Sister Florence emigrated to Australia with her husband Lou and their children.  Jim and Florence were the children of Nebo jnr. Nebo snr  died during the bombing of Coventry the family were bombed out twice during the blitz and walked to wolverhampton with a young baby to seek refuge Hope this was of interest i think i have it right
Hi if the young baby was graham Ellis then this would be my father son of nebo and Gladys Ellis who also had two daughters Irene and Shirley'  i remember jim and flo going to Australia
so im sure we are part of this family, If I am correct can update you on my side. Andrew Ellis
