Hi
I'm no good at the dating part but if you can be a little patient I'll do my best to restore it for you - I've downloaded it already and found a lot of noise on the photo, so it might take me a little while (couple of days)!
And I'm not as quick as some of the wonderful restorers on here!

SMG x

Hi there!  I'm in no hurry whatsoever, and would surely appreciate any assistance you can offer!  Thank you!

Would love some assistance with an old tintype photo in my family collection.  I've recently learned that this may be one of my 2nd great grandfathers and family and a date would help confirm.  Samuel Jasper Nash (we think the man with the long beard) lived 1840-1926.

I've placed a 1200dpi version here:

Thanks in advance!

As requested, scan of the back with borders.

Sure, but I'll have to re-scan it.  Unfortunately, there's nothing on the reverse of this one.

Can anyone take a guess as to an approximate date on this photo?  Those I've shared it with have come to the conclusion that it says Turners Extra Finish and Polk, Tennessee.  I'm sure she's family, just trying to narrow things down.

Thanks in advance!
