You may already have this, but in case you don't, here is what I found:

FLEMING, DAVID, from Perth, imprisoned 10.2.1746 Perth; 1.4.1746 Edinburgh Jail, discharged.  Sheriff Officer, Perth.  "Suspicion of treasonable practices."  "Ran errands for the rebels and went at their desire to warn in carts and horses from the country to carry their baggage" P.2.198

FLEMING, ROBERT, in Edradour, Atholl Brigade, in south and in England (paid listing money) CA.3.304, MR 23

References:

Hope this helps

My grandfather's last name was Rutherford.  He and his family lived in and around Wishaw area for many years.  His wife's maiden name was McKenzie, also from the same area.  Other family surnames are McKay (from Lochcarron, originally) and Neilson (or Nelson).  I do still have long-distant relatives in the area but my contacts passed with my mothers passing.  My mom and her four brothers left Wishaw (Overton actually) with my grandfather for the US in 1928.  I hope this helps.

Aberdeenshire / John or William Beverly, Jacobite Prisoner, 1746
« on: Thursday 21 March 13 23:49 GMT (UK)  »
I am interested in a John (may be William) Beverly (or Beverlie), a Jacobite prisoner from Aberdeen taken prisoner at Culloden in 1746 and transported on the "Johnson" from Liverpool.  He arrived in Port Oxford, Maryland, US.  I suspect he is my g-g-g-g-grandfather but I have not been able to prove it.  Any ideas on how or where to inquire in the Aberdeen area for additional information on this individual or his family?

Here is a photo taken in Wishaw, Scotland before 1928.  Does anyone know who this might be.  It was in my grandfather's sea chest.  He left Scotland for the last time in 1928.  I have about 20 more of these nameless photos.  I would be willing to mail the original to anyone who can id the individual.  I am assuming that given the age of the photo, it is not covered by any UK copyright.  If there is a problem, please let me know and I will remove it quickly.

My grandfather (William Rutherford) left Wishaw, Scotland, in 1928 with my mother and her four brothers headed for West Virginia coal fields.  I inherited his sea trunk which had a group of photos from Wishaw.  We have no idea who these folks are.  Question: is there a place to post scans of these photos to help find who they are?  I suspect that most have passed away by now, but family might like to have.  I would be willing to mail photos too.
