A thought just popped into my head as charles was the eldest child of Honor and Patrick could she have been pregnant when James died? could Patrick have known and just took him as his own? is this why he was using Murphy on the 1901 census? i really have to get back on the trail now. I also remember coming across a  Durham census where Honor was using the name Annie Murphy  i will go through my papers as soon as i can to check.

Hi, it's been a while from my last post, (that sounds like a conffetion) Ha!. My Grandad was in the Leicester Regiment (11509) private 2nd Battalion he was wounded in 1915 maybe June after that he was in the Northampton  Reg (70663-201342) i have no idea what all the numbers are but is there a way to find out what hospital he was sent to or about his injuries, he always said he got shot through the neck. Thanks and Happy New Year to all members. :)
