London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: birth details of William WILSON
« on: Wednesday 24 August 05 20:10 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Rick for your help.
Regarding my William Wilson, son of Daniel Wilson.

I have William Wilson's birth as 17 Feb. 1817 (family. bible info. no location).  At this point I do not know his parents names.

Then I find this:- Family Search IGI record
William Wilson, baptism. 20 Apr. 1817, all saints, West Bromwich, Stafford, Eng.
I do not really know if this is him or not.

1839 marriage of William Wilson in parish of Portsmouth, county of Southampton shows his father to be Daniel Wilson - no mention of a mother on this certificate.

I think I need to find the 1841 census info.

1851 Census shows William Wilson as head, mar. age 32 lab HM D-yard born Middlesex, London. - the provider of this info - states that this ref H0107 1611c folio 649: Layfield, Gillingham.

1861 census - William is missing and Patience L. Wilson his wife if head of household. and they are living in Gillingham Green, Gillingham, Kent .
FYI...Patience L. HILL is his wife and she was born in Sheerness, Kent abt. 1820-22

I DO NOT HAVE a death record of William Wilson either. - presumably he died while working in the Portsea Dockyard area of Hampshire.
or in the Gillingham, Kent area as the family are living there in the census of 1851.

Again I believe that the census of 1841 would allow me to know if he is still living and possibly narrow my window of places for his death - death certif. should show his place of birth and his parents names.

Living in Bermuda, we have no Mormon reference libraries to have a film sent.

Any help you can give is much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Judy @ Serendipity

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / birth details of William WILSON
« on: Tuesday 23 August 05 20:05 BST (UK)  »
Looking for anyone who can look up a birth record for:-

WILLIAM WILSON - son of DANIEL WILSON - born abt. 1819 in Middlesex, London.

The above info I received from the British Census of 1851, saying William Wilson was head of household, age 32 yrs. born in Middlesex, London and the husband of my Gr.Gr.Grandmother, Patience Louisa Hill whom he married in 1839 in Portsea, Hampshire and father of my known Great Grandfather, Henry John Wilson who died in Bermuda.  (I'm told the 1841 census is not on-line).  Therefore, if baptism or birth records are available in the Middlesex, London area maybe he William and father Daniel can be found there along with Daniel's wife?
Am I asking for too much??????

Cheers,
Serendipity

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / marriage info Wilson, Daniel
« on: Friday 19 August 05 22:10 BST (UK)  »
Can you possibly enlighten me on the marriage of:
DANIEL WILSON & MARY Unknown.
Possibly in the West Bromwich, Stafford, Eng. area as I believe the following document could be my ancestor:
Their son:
William Wilson (born 1817, Feb. 17 - as per family bible) - (baptism: 20, April 1817 All Saints West Bromwich, Stafford, Eng. - via IGI record on familysearch.org) - parents listed as Daniel & Mary Wilson.
This William Wilson then married Patience Louisa Hill in 1839 St.Thomas, Portsmouth, Southampton - his father being Daniel Wilson.
Any information on this marriage will be greatfully received.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / WILSON - Living Relatives in Yorkshire?
« on: Monday 15 August 05 19:55 BST (UK)  »
My Wilson Family has been found on the 1901 census under the name of.....TAYLOR, ALLEN, a 43 yr. old railway guard, living at #20 France Street, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.  Mrs. Allen TAYLOR (formerly, Mrs. Fanny WILSON widow of my Great Uncle, William Henry Wilson).

There are two children of Fanny & William Henry WILSON.........James H. Wilson now 14 yrs.  and Louisa Wilson age 5 yrs. (first time I have met this little girl).
This five year old tells me that William Henry Wilson must have died about (1891 census less 5 yrs = 1885 or 1886).

Can anyone help with a marriage certif. for Fanny Wilson & Allen Taylor?
Thanks for any help you can muster up.
