Hi hardiman-burton,
You're correct, it's so long ago that I don't even remember posting on these names! I do have friends by the name of Flowerday but I'm not sure if they are researching their family history. I'll have to ask & if they are, I'll refer them to this site.
Thanks for info.

Thanks for that info Shoeman, I'm very grateful, though not particularly happy about it, as I don't agree with all the secrecy etc surrounding the Freemasons. Still I can't be responsible for what my ancestors did years ago, can I?
Thanks again,
Holly

Hi,
My gt gt gt grandfather is buried in this churchyard (sadly church is no longer used for worship). I'd like to find out the meaning of the symbol on his gravestone - a Star of David with a capital G in the centre.
I know that he wasn't a Jew. The gravestone is now broken but you can still see the symbol clearly.
If anyone can help I'll be very grateful.
Thanks,
Holly

Hi,
My gt gt gt grandfather's gravestone has a Star of David with a capital G in the centre. He definitely wasn't Jewish, but can anyone tell what it means please?
Thanks,
Holly

Hi Linda,
Thanks for unravelling that for me. It can get very confusing sometimes! Will have a look at that link when I get a minute.
Cheers,

Hi,
I've found a marriage for Ralph Bone Hartt (my grandfather's nephew-not sure what relation to me!!!), to ? Kirby, in Erpingham, Norfolk, in the June quarter of 1923, but I can't find the corresponding one for Kirby to Hartt (Ref:4b.126). Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Holly

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Kate Winifred Hartt
« on: Monday 11 January 10 19:54 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
My gt aunt, Kate Winifred Hartt, married in Paddington in the June Quarter of 1906 (vol.1a page 2).
There are four names on the page, one other female & two males (Sidney Reade or Ashley Turner).
I am trying to find out which one married my gt aunt. If anyone has access to the parish records for Paddington, I would be most grateful.
Thanks - hopefully!
Holly
