Thanks, i couldnt find my last post - and i have found her listed as maggie and margaret, so i assumed maggie was like a nickname?

Hi, im looking for information on my great grandfathers mother Margaret may james. i have attached a shot of my tree on ancestry to illustrate..

Someone on here told me to get a copy of my great grandfathers birth certificate to find her name, which i did but havent gotten very far with it...

can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

i think its from when my grandad was in the services but cant be 100% sure...

just wondering if someone can clean it up a bit as its a bit scratched and out of focus a bit

For restoration please scan in colour, it gives the restorers more tones to work with.

I only have a black and white copy - i dont know where the orignal is - i was only given a black and white copy

there is no need to be so patronising! no i didnt miss this - i was having this decussion before you go involved, yes i saw it - but as i said before, i was hoping that by adding that name would show some stuff on ACESTRY where i have been working i know other places to do research do exist, i was talking about one place

well well well, big overhall here - i got the birth certificate for william henry warley only to find that williams father isnt george as i was informed - it is infact a Alfred henry warley and a Margaret (aka maggie) may warley formally james - but sadly this information doesnt show any kind of hints on ancestry.com so im not getting any further back just yet:/
