This is actually my husbands Family and Francis Gladston Forsyth his great grandfather he descended from Francis daughter Amelia.

Majm, that's what i thought but don't like to assume as i'm still new and make mistakes, i will order the death and hopefully this will shead some more light on the situation.

Thank you Sparrett, i'm quiet intrigued with miss Caroline as the family story is she is related to Lord Baydon Powell ( but we all know how reliable family story's are LoL )

If the 2 trees i found online are correct they are of German origin.

Is there some where i would be able to find record of a surname change in NSW ?

I'm researching the name Tubnor, and the latest marriage transcript has just arrived with parents names, i entered this information into NSW BDM and could not find his birth under the name Tubnor however there is a birth that fits in the name of Tubbenhauer. So i searched online trees and found 2 that have the same family with the same name change but neither of them have a source .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
