Staffordshire Lookup Requests / 1841 Census- look up please
« on: Saturday 20 October 12 18:22 BST (UK)  »
Hello, could someone possibly look up a Samuel Mansell for me on the 1841 Census please. He would have been aged about 50, his wife is named Ann, and he also has a daughter named Ann, who would possibly be about 18. I think they may have lived in the Sedgley area.
Many thanks.

Cheshire Lookup Requests / Cheshire Visitations 1663
« on: Monday 11 June 12 22:23 BST (UK)  »
Hello, Has anyone by any chance got access to the Cheshire Visitations of 1663. In the 1580 visitations of Cheshire, there is an EDWARD MILLINGTON mentioned from the Millington of Millington household, he was the son of John Millington & Anne daughter to Edward Holland of Denton; and the grandson of Roger Millington of Millington & Elizabeth daughter to James Domvill of Limm. He is also mentioned in the 1613 Visitations as having 3 sons (no names given). I was wondering if he is mentioned in the 1663 Visitations.
Many thanks.

Hello, I am trying to find a Rhoda Pargeter on the 1841 and 1851 Census. She was born between 1776 & 1781, and I believe she may have lived in the Kingswinford Parish.
Many thanks.

Many thanks, I received 2 wills/admins yesterday, one was for a William Stanyard who died 1874. It states that he left a wife Lydia and no children (the reason I didnt mention Lydia was because the only marriage I found for a William Stanyard, on the freebmd website was to a Lydia Tyler? in 1845, 4 years after ther 1841 Census). The document also stated that they had no living children and that they lived in Congleton, Cheshire and that William had a brother named John Stanyard, it also mentions my great x 2 grandfather Thomas Stanyard of Wednesbury. I didn't even know my great x 3 grandfather John Stanyard had a brother named William until I saw the will/admin.
Once again, many thanks.

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Marriage query
« on: Sunday 20 November 11 16:59 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, I wonder if anybody maybe able to help me find my great x 5 grandparents marriage. My great x 4 grandfather William James was baptised 24 Nov 1794 at Ockbrook, Derbyshire, the son of John and Elizabeth. I thought that I had located John James and Elizabeth's marraige as the igi's stated that a John James and Elizabeth Smedley were married at Morley, Derbyshire the 11 Aug 1782. I wrote to Derbyshire Record Office for a photocopy of this marraige record, and it turns out to be a marraige between a John Turner and Elizabeth Smedley, and not John James. I have re checked the igi's, and it turns out that there are 2 records for an Elizabeth Smedley who was married at Morley 11 Aug 1782, to a John Turner and a John James. Any ideas ?
Many thanks.

Hello, Could anyone tell me if a Jane Brown was living in the Kingswinford area at the time of the 1851 Census. She was born about 1775 + or - 5 years. Im not sure where she was born but on the 1841 Census she was living with her husband Joseph Brown in the Bromley area of Kingswinford and both stated that they were born outside the county of Staffordshire.
Many thanks.
