Europe / Tracing Roots in Breslau, Germany - Alternate Spellings?
« on: Monday 28 January 13 23:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
I've tried searching ancestry, these forums, and http://www.breslau-wroclaw.de/de/breslau/forum/xforum.php for information pertaining to my grandmother's family.
Her name was Margaret Krisch, born Jan 8 1923 in Breslau. She lived there until fleeing to Western Germany.
Parents: Bruno & Hedwig Krisch (Bruno passed away in the 1940s)
Brothers: Hans and Rudy (Rudy passed away in the 1940s)
Sister: Nora Krisch (remained in Germany until her death in the 1990s - I think in Western Germany)
If anyone has any information on this surname, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've found numerous Kirsches - I've even found Bruno, Hedwig, Hans, and Margaret Kirsches in the 1941 Breslau Address book- but none of their addresses match.
Thank you!
Laryssa
