I've heared of both of those names, I'm a Ganley, my grandfather is James Ganley, originally from Roscommon, Ireland, he moved to Birmingham with his siblings, Bridget, Thomas and may, there the only names I know, although he had 6 brothers and sisters, they moved to Yorkshire in the 1960's

Downey and Dooley are traveller surnames, I was wondering if Mckevitt was an irish traveller name if anyone knew?

I'm a Ganley, my grandads sister was called Bridget, I think they had some connection to Galway but were originally from Roscommon, they are all Catholics and I'm not shore about my great grandfathers name.

I've been told that my ancestors, the mckevitts were irish royalty but I've also been told they were Irish travelers, does anyone know anything?
