Brevitas

This match's what I have found. Thanks for all your help. I was having trouble proving the Hanna was Thomas mother.

My grandmother didn't really talk about her family she left, but she thought that she could go back and everything would be just like it was when she left.

If any one ever comes across any pictures of Thomas I would love to have a copy. I have the only existing picture of Thomas..

Thank you again for all the work you did. I appreciate it very much

brevitas,
 :-[
I must apoligize, I wrote his fathers name was John, but the marriage certificate says his name was James. Also Morpeth is where they were living prior to their immigration to the United States. According to Thomas's obituary they list that he had a brother named John Morris that lived in Lincoln, Illinoies, USA.
I found a James Morris born 1840 Bolton, Lancashire. He married Hanna Schofield in 1858 and they had a son named John Morris 1859. In 1871 he married Emma Calderley, and they had a son named Thomas Morris In 1873, they lived in Bolton Lancashire That would all match including a note I have from the youngest son Louis that said his father was born in Lancashire. The one exception, my grandmother Margaret "Miller" Morris wrote in my baby book that Thomas's mothers name was Hanna. I cannot find a James and Hanna Morris in the 1871 or later census. I believe my grandmother was mistaken, but don't know how to prove it.

Here is what I know about Thomas Morris. From his tombstone it says he was born in 1873. I have a note from a cousin that her father wrote that says Thomas Morris was born in Lancashire England in 1873. I have a copy of the marriage certificate which lists his fathers name as John Morris a coal miner, also an old baby book that says his mothers name was Hanna. I have never found any records to match that.

I am looking for any information on the Thomas and Margaret Morris prior to their immigration to the United States. I have found some information on miller family, but I'm at a dead end on the Morris family. all I know is he was a coalminer and married Margaret miller in 1899,  came to the US in 1910 and settled in Frontenec Kansas. Nothing prior to his marriage.

Tazz,
How are you
related to the Bedlington Morris family? Thomas and Margared were my Grandparents, Thomas died before I was born but I really loved my Grandmother.
One thing on your list, you left out my father Jacob Morris born 9 April,1908 in Bedlington.
If you or anyone else has any information on the Morris family prior the their immigration to the United States I would really appreciate it. They never talked about it, I think Mary James and my Father were too young to remember much and now I wish I had ask my Grandmother lots of Questions.
