Can't see Bernard and family on the 1851 or 1861 census

Sancti you will find Bernard as Barney in 1851 at Old Vennel. By 1861 census he has expired and his wife is to be found at Bell Street, both in Glasgow.

Hello Derek

Its quite exciting to hear from another direct Casey descendant. Seamus has done a huge amount of research on Casey's and hopefully will see your post. I cant tell you much at present as i have bought a new Mac and am in the unenviable process of putting all my fh stuff on it.
I am just off out now but will look in when i get back and if Seamus hasnt seen this post i will contact him.

Regards
Tracey

I recently bought Gangs of Manchester book and am now eager to find out if one of the persons mentioned - a young James Casey on page 45 is one of mine and if there is more information somewhere regarding his court appearance to further identify him......

Also cant wait for Glasgow Gangs book  :)

Wendy do you think they could have married in St Saviours Church where the children were all Baptised ?
I know the Church and pass it quite often, do you think they have the records there and would it be worth asking / emailing them if you havnt already done so.

Hello Tommy

I will start the ball rolling on this one !

There a five Francis Shepherds on SP - with a year range of 1800/1825 - born 1802 /05/ 10 /15 and 17 none with the middle name Graham (although many tended to throw a family name as a middle name in later in life, thankfully) or a mother with that maiden sir name.

Does it name a father on the marriage certificate ?
I cant see a  marriage on freebmd so maybe it was pre 1837 ?

Is this your Sarah - making her appr 7 years older than Francis.........
