Hi Ian  You mentioned this what was written The minister had noted that he was a whaler and that he was believed to be dead in 1915. Is it possible to find a Whaling ship he may have served on and possibly a picture of the ship if available this would be the last piece of the jig saw puzzle your help has been fantastic.  :)hi middlebrough   i am attaching Oscar Johnson marriage cert  also his son Charles Johnson marriage cert hope this can help with more research about him charles had two step brothers from his mothers first marriage  Tom Butler & Martin Butler one of them we believe was in the merchant navy too also Charles Mother Mary Agnes Butler we think Died when Charles was young as he went into an Orphanage hope this all helps.  :)hi I am trying to find any information about Oscar Christian (Kristen) Johnson  born in Sweden abt 1891 i believe he was in the merchant navy and lived in the tynemouth area he married Mary Agnes Butler St Cuthberts Church Tynemouth. 1/Feb/1928  he may have Died in 1956 not sure when Agnes Died as they had a son Charles Cornelius Johnson Born abt 1928 and he went into an orphanage at an early age any information regarding this family would be so helpful. hi Heywood   On the marriage cert he was a general labourer so he could be the one in Salisbury he was living in Dartford on the cert and in the 1939 the birth date is slightly different 9th sep 1912 instead of the date on his death cert 13th sep 1912 but that happens quite a bit with records unfortunately it still does not give me what county he was born in Ireland and his mothers maiden name which would hopefully give me a marriage of his father James O'Toole will keep trying to link

hi wexflyer thanks for info about unregistered births likely whats happened the marriage was in England a Roman Catholic wedding 17 feb 1940 St Anslems Church Spital St Dartford it says father of the groom James O'Toole  Profession Farmer and have a copy of death cert which states dob 13th sep 1912 Irish Republic his death 29 jan 1980 Gravesend Kent do you think the 1921 census will reveal his place of birth when it is released thanks for your help & input

Sorry to say do not think this is my man as have a Death Cert for James which states birth date 13 September 1912 also have marriage cert which says father James O'Toole as a farmer in 1940 not sure if in Ireland or England
