There are certainly a number of Flatley’s in the area around Ramsbottom, Lancashire (myself being one!).

I think my Granddad came over in the 1920’s and I know his brother Michael was also over here.  My Granddad worked as a navvy on sites and quarries in the area with my dad being born at “2 The Huts” on the side of Scout moor.

My Granddad, Martin Flatley, was born in Kilmovee, Killkelly, County Mayo in July 1895.

Does anyone have any reference to dwellings known as “The Huts” on the side of Scout Moor, Edenfield?

My dad was born at “2 The Huts” in 1933 and I would like to know a bit about the history of them and there location.
