Hi my  husband is Jonathan Brian Dockery, Patrick James was his dad, Albert James his grandad.  We are intouch with William Dockery? So how are you related?

Hi there

Who's your husband as he must be my cousin?  The actual spelling of the name is Dockery.  Albert died before I was born and my granny (Annie) died when I was a teenager.  Their family consisted of Albert, Patrick, Andrew, Beasie & Mary (twins) but Mary died when young, William and Brenda.  My cousin has researched the family back over the last two hundred years and has the family tree so if you'd like more info I'm sure I can put you in touch with him.  Regards :D

I I wondered if anybody has any information on the Dochertys of Duntocher.  My husbands grandfather was Albert James Dockery born in Duntocher 1901 and married Ann Hamilton in 1919 St Patricks Church.  His father was Patrick Dockery from Ireland who married Sarah Judge and died in New Street, Duntocher in 1915.  They lived in New Street, Duntocher. Thanks

Cheshire Lookup Requests / Macclesfield Industrial School - Can u help?
« on: Monday 21 April 08 17:04 BST (UK)  »
Hi
My Gt Gt Grandfather (I think) is registered at Macclesfield Industrial School 1891 aged 10 years (Alfred Bostock) his marriage certificate says he was born in 1881 Manchester and his father was called Alfred Bostock - Police Constable.  I can find no records of his father at all and have no idea if the info on the marriage certificate was correct.  I know he was in Liverpool as a boarder in 1901, the industrial school in 1891 but have no further info about him in before that.  No census records or at least with a father called Alfred.  Are they are records for the industrial school, details of inmates etc.  Any help would be great.
Much appreciated.

Cheshire Lookup Requests / Macclesfield Industrial School

Hi, does anyone know if there are any records for the Macclesfield Industrial School.  My Gt Gt Grandfather (I think) was listed there in 1891 aged 10 years called Alfred Bostock.  I have no idea who his parents were or anything else unsure if he had siblings, was an orphan unmarried mother.  His marriage certificate says his father was called Alfred Bostock (Police Constable) and that he was born in Manchester but I can find no record of any police constable called Alfred Bostock I think he might have made that up (haha).  So if anyone has any ideas where I can start I would be grateful I know he was born 1880/81 as his marriage certificate states his age but any further info would be a great help.
Thanks very much.

PS) Sorry this should be on the lookup forum just realised I have put it on the wrong one.  Haven't done it for a while.(*)

Iria

When you have a moment could you please check if there is an Alfred Bostock registered anyway in the Manchester area on the 1881 census (particularly with a father called Alfred too).

That would be a great help if you can find the time.

Could anybody please look up some information for me on a birth certificate. REF ST1/80/98 YEAR 1878 ALFRED BOSTOCK.

I would love to find out:

Fathers Name/Occupation
Mothers Maiden Name
PLACE OF BIRTH/DATE OF BIRTH and any other details it may show.

Thanks you to anyone that may get chance to do this for me.

Yes the marriage was in 1907 West Derby Liverpool - Birth place Manchester, Father Alfred Bostock Police Constable (deceased).

I have seen him listed in 1901 census as a boarder but couldn't find anything beyond that.  Didn't know he was listed as Macclesfield 1891 I haven't found that so thanks for that.
