Hi

Any news on the Gallmans would be great. Have many family members searching for any news. Some have passed away while trying, so hope I can find any missing links (good or bad). Have found one or two secrets recently. Any news of Frederick Gallman (married Edith Rebecca Gray) would be great if you have any.

Thanks

Yes, and I see she didn't name any of the sons after her father!!

I suggest that you get this birth cert to see what the actual date of birth is....

Registered December Quarter 1857
Goldsworthy,  James
Redruth    Vol. 5c   Page. 261

It is going to be a process of elimination I think.

Debra  :D

I have ordered this certificate. Hope it brings some light on the topic. I think the James Goldsworthy who was living with the Dunstans could also be an option.

Your James and Lily gave their children some colourful names - do any of them crop up in Lily's family?

Debra  :D

There are some strange names in the Rowe family. Lily's siblings had some strange names.  :)

The information I got from my Grandmother before she passed, was that our James Goldsworthy was born on the 20th November 1857 in Redruth. I was looking at the BMD info, and I narrowed it down to the James living with the Dunstans. Very confusing!

Thanks so much for everyones help. I'm still confused with which John Goldsworthy would be the father of James. I thought it might be John goldsworthy, married to Elizabeth Annear Andrews, but as has been stated their son may have died in Queensland.  :(
Another person told me that that James Goldsworthy married Kate Kenny and Priscilla, not Nora Rowe

Norman was my grandmothers uncle. It was a different branch of Goldsworthy's.

I'm pretty sure he travelled alone at the age of 19.
I guess he came over as a cornish miner.
His parents most likely stayed in Cornwall.

If the mother (Elizth) is Elizabeth Annear Andrews then that is the information I have. I am just not 100% certain. James would also have been 3 years old in 1861.

That is the correct James with children Percy, Brice, Garnet, Vesta, etc. Percy was my Great Grandfather. We know he married Lily (Nora) Rowe. I am just stuck on finding which John Goldsworthy would be his father.

Thanks for your information so far  :)
