The Pathhead Feuars' Burial Ground at the end of the Commercial Street ...
I have photographed this Cemetery as my son happens to live next to it,
there are a number of Ross's buried there.
NorrieG

Hello Again Norrie,
I'm giving this Ross line another shot. Do you happen to have a list of all the Ross headstones you know of in this Pathhead Feuars' Burial Ground? If so would you mind sending those names my way. I've got quite a few Ross's who lived in that area whose details are evading me. :D
Thanks for the Help!,
Christian

Hello Norrie!
Thanks for checking. Sadly I don't know of any of Charles's siblings, I was hoping that a search of the surrounding headstones might have given me some clues. I'm actually researching the Ross line from the top down and have found that I'm somehow related to just about all the Ross's in the Dysart/Kirkcaldy area. That's what led me to that Ross/Gourlay family.
Thanks Again,
Chris

Hello Norrie!

I've got another request for you, this time a little more recent. I'm looking for the headstone of one "Charles Ross Gourlay". He was born in Kirkcaldy in 1917 to Esther Birrell Ross (b.1882-d.1962) and John Gourlay (b.1883). Was married to a Ms. B. Maddison, and died in Kirkcaldy in 1990. Unfortunately I haven't been able to track down the exact cemetery :(

Thanks for the Help! Cheers!
Chris

Hi Norrie,

I was so happy to stumble upon this thread, hopefully you'll be able to help me.

I've hit a wall in tracing my family's Scottish roots. My fifth-great grandfather, Charles Ross, died in Pathhead 6 July 1862. His wife Christian (or Christina) Ross (Maiden Name: More), died sometime between then (6 July 1862) and 1869, assumedly somewhere within the Dysart region because that is where her children lived. However, I can't find any records about her after the death of her husband.

By any chance, have you stumbled upon the headstones of either Charles Ross (b. 1795 d. 1862), or Christian More Ross (b. 1800, d. 1862-1869) during your indexing?

Thanks for your help,
Chris
