Thank you for your reply, it is very much appreciated, unfortunately I have no further information on this family except for Matthew and his sister Rose in Au, his father Thomas at age 40 in the 1841 census was a coal dealer, Ann was also listed as being 40 in that census which places birth dates for them around the 1800 mark and also lists birthplaces as Y, the 3 children appear to be all born in Leeds, I suppose I assumed that the parents were born in that area, I do wish that I could offer more information.

hi all
could someone please help me with possible parents for Ann Stead nee Ellis and/or possible parents for her husband Thomas Stead, m, 1819, according to the 1841 census this couple had 3 children, Matthew b, abt 1823, Rose b, 1830, James b, abt 1836, (Matthew and family arrived in Au 1850 & Rose and Family in 1854)  I know this is a big request and I really appreciate any help that anyone can offer

Hi Jane, thank you so much for your reply, it is very much appreciated, I am a new to Rootschat and I thank another member for steering me in this direction.
I am working on my husbands family at present, you are indeed all very talented and helpful people,  no doubt I will have more questions to come in the future.

Hi Victor
Is it possible that the marriage for John Longford and Hannah Cooke could have been 1824 as in 1814 they would have only been young teenagers if their birth/baptism dates were around 1800/1802, I believe their first child Thomas was born around 1825, I would be most grateful for your help
