Hi L, just to let you know, the daughter of wee 'Sammy' Arthur (born in Coleraine to James Arthur and Sarah Elizabeth Ramsey) and Annie Grouquet Withnall i.e. Jean Stoddart McKenzie nee Arthur (born 1927 in Hamilton, Scotland) sadly passed away on the 17 March 2021 in Glasgow. Her husband Kenneth McKenzie (born 1925 in Auchinleck, Ayrshire) also passed away on the 6 April 2021.

I have discovered more information on 'wee Sammy' in relation to the WWI and some photographs as well if you want to contact me,

There is already a company in the UK testing for Viking DNA matching this with ancient DNA. My own test has demonstrated a 67% match with Norwegian 'Viking' DNA in the Southwest region of Norway.

If you run a search you will find the company offering this although I suspect other companies will be able to offer this updated test of your DNA.

Hi, although I selected the allowed 2 options of Ireland and Scotland I am also researching many other countries based on my tree research to date and based on my DNA results +/- matches with other trees:
Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Northern Ireland (Coleraine/Aghadowey area) and Eire (County Leitrim and Sligo), England, Australia and New Zealand, America and Canada, and particularly the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
