Hello Angela48, your email address was removed for as part of the privacy protection on this site (I think). I don't know my way around this site yet as I only registered on it yesterday, but I think there is some private messaging (PM) on this site which we can use.

I'm sure we have probably met at some family event over the years.

Yours,

Gerhard

Hello Angela48, William was my great grandfather. My grandfather is his son William and my father is John, Williams(jnr) son. I have been looking through the on-line census databases and came across your dialogue in this forum. I had no idea of the maiden names of any of my maternal great and great great grandparents so to find that Bridget was a Keegan was very interesting. If you have any other information of this nature I would be grateful to see it.

Like you, I tracked the Flynns back to Ireland relatively easily, in spite of errors on the 1911 Census entry listing the place of birth for Willaim as "Albrige", but after that things have got harder. In particular, I am quite interested in my maternal grandmother Jane who appears to have been born in Notting Hill, which is something I was not aware of. I can remember my mothers father, who used to visit every Monday lunchtime in the early 1960s. I also visited, with my older brother Peter, one of my grandmothers (Jane Gray?) in her house in Salford, again in the early 1960s.
What is your connection.Best regards, Gerhard
