Hello Rootschatters,
After a considerable absence I have decided to try and complete two missing facts in my family tree.
Firstly Jemima Elizabeth (Elizabeth Jemima) Brown last sighted at 10 Lawkholme Lane, Keighley, West Riding Yorkshire in the 1901 Census. I have her census disposition at each census 1841-1901. She is referred to variously as Elizabeth or Jemima E.
Baptised in 1831 at Uppingham she was married to Walter William Brown who died on 20 May 1900.
Walter and Jemima had two sons David Brown born 1865 and Walter Brown born 15 May 1872 died unknown.
Walter William Brown died 20 May 1900 and David Brown died 4 July 1902 are both interred at Utley Cemetery along with David's wife Mary (David and Mary were childless) who died in 1942.
These three are recorded on the headstone at Utley Cemetery. Perhaps Jemima was also interred there but the headstone was not inscribed
I have been unable to locate the death of Jemima Elizabeth Brown after 1901 and the indexes did not provide any assistance.
Also I have been unable to locate the census disposition of Walter Brown in 1901. In the 1891 Census he is recorded as an "agent for pictures" with his parents at 8 Lawkholme Lane.
Could this mean he went to America? And his mother went there too?
I have investigated a number of potential marriages of Walter Brown (Dean, Vanham, Mattocks) but these have been eliminated.

A death appeared promising - Walter Brown a grocer and beer retailer aged 40 of 24 Belgrave Road Keighley. (March Q 1912 Keighley 9A, 267) died 17 February 1912 wife Annie. This was discounted at the time for reasons underneath.
There are some compelling records relating to the imprisonment for one month of one Walter Brown in HMP Wakefield in 1902 for drunk and disorderly and wilful damage - a showman of Keighley aged 30.
25 June 1912 imprisoned in Keighley PS for one month for stealing skirts and again on 13 November 1912 in Bingley PS for 3 months for stealing an overcoat plus 19 breaches of the Inebriates Act under warrant on 23 December 1913 and a court acquittal on 5 January 1914.
The clincher for me is in this latter Leeds court document where is described as an Upholsterer aged 41. His mother was an upholsterer.
I would very much like someone with fresh eyes to cast their wisdom over the preceding information and perhaps provide some direction as to how I might progress it and even rule a line under it.
It is likely I may have to shell out $ on the following:
Possible death June Q 1941 Walter Brown aged 68 Leeds 9b, 619
Possible death March Q 1947 Walter Brown aged 74 Bradford 2B, 318.
If Walter was so fond of the bottle at 41 I cannot imagine him living to such an age.
