Galway / Re: james silver 1843-1898 loughrea

I wonder is it possible that John Silver (b.1838) from Carrabane, Loughrea (modern Kilconierin parish) and later of Ogilby Street, Woolwich is also related. He was a fine soldier (served in India) and the Silver surname wasn't that prominent around Loughrea so one never knows...

I would like to know more about john silver.

my great great grandmother was born in sixmilecross in the 1850s. on her marriage certificate of 1875 to bernard mccann of fallaghearn her father is francis hughes of cloghfin.

francis hughes is in griffiths, and there are three hughes in cloghfin in the tithe books.

however i cannot locate bridgets birth details or her father francis' marriage details....
