According to an online biography of Pomeroy Cosmetics, Roy's mother, Jeanette Shepherd Hauser, changed hers and her children's name from Scale to Pomeroy in about 1906 after separating from James Bernard Scale.  She died in 1938 in Dartford, no actual date could be located.

Hi Cathy

The death entry for Eugenie M. Langman looks like a clincher, so tangible.  I guess now I need to determine if she was born a McDonnell or a Mac/McDonald.  Thanks for helping me look outside the square, I'd been searching for a possible death entry as Marie/Maria Langman without success and her husband did die at Croydon also in 1930.  Thank you so much for the eye opener.
Kindest regards

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / Marie Macdonald.

Hi all
I have a Marie (or Maria) Macdonald on my tree.  Various census records after her marriage indicate she was born circa 1864 on the Isle of Wight.  I cannot locate an entry for her maiden name prior to her marriage.  She married William Henry Langman in 1888 at Croydon, Surrey.  I can't locate a birth entry on BMD and am also trying to ascertain her parentage.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Cheers Colin
Always a thought, at least one of his daughters is spelt Facey on the 1861 census.

Hi all
I have William Facy on my tree.  He was born at Egloskerry in 1816, son of William and Elizabeth, nee Jolliffe.  He married in 1839 to Mary Parnell of Trewen and had two daughters, Jane & Elizabeth.  He appears to have died between 1845 and 1851 (cannot locate on 1851 census) and his widow remarried in 1860.  I guess he died in the general Egloskerry area, but I cannot locate a death or burial.
Can anyone assist?
Many thanks
