Hi Jean, thanks for getting back to me.  To be honest, I can't really recall a David James (presumably at primary school) but it was a long time ago and it may well be correct. Would you mind telling me your surname?  I now live in Barnstaple, but lived with my parents in Penn Lane, when I was in Brixham. Kind regards, Alan

Hi Jean, I can't tell you how excited and pleased I am to be in touch. As a boy, I wasn't really interested in family history, but now with my parents and all close relatives having passed on, of course I realise how little I know.  A friend who is really into this with her family, helped me out the other day and by a miracle, very quickly, hit on your stuff on Ancestry, where she is a member.  I then did a google search on Benjamin and found your postings here, so I joined immediately. To give you an insight - in the article by Elizabeth Yolland nee Eddy (1852 -1907) on your Ancestry page, towards the end it says "(5) William the father of Walter Eddy and grandfather of Gladys Eddy (married William Foot) Phyllis (married Stanley Gorrell) and Nora (married Henry Lee King, who's only son went to the same school as my son, David)." I AM the only son of Norah and Harry King, mentioned and lived in Brixham until I was about 21 years old. My great grandfather was William Henry Eddy, grandfather was, Walter Elliott Eddy (on whom I have some interesting information). I am very happy to be in touch in whatever is the best format, as I say this is all new to me.  Look forward to hearing from you again. Kind regards Alan
