Cheshire Lookup Requests / Re: Fisher mariage

Sarah died (we assume) in Upper Canada between 1834 and 1844.  She and John witnessed the mariage of John's sister Mary to George Berry in 1834  in Upper Canada.  John was re-married in 1844.

There are a lot of assumptions in my story.  Sorry.

In this thread , i refer to Mary as a daughter of Sarah and John.  This is inaccurate.  I now realize that Mary is John's sister.

Thanks

Thank You for the replies.

Here is what i know:
The birth certificate for John jr. states Sarah Fisher Weaver. as the mother  I am harboring some hope that Weaver is her maiden name.

I used 1815 to 1825 as assumed mariage date because i am supposing that John was their first child and they were married shortly before that datte.

Mary , cited in one of the responses is John senior's sister.  She was born around 1810 and married George Berry in York/Toronto in 1834. She died in Ancaster, Ontario in 1866.

John, Sarah and family emigrated to Canada in the early 1830's.

I do have the mariage details for Edward and John Fisher and they were married in Upper Canada.

I hope that clears up my question.

Thank You

Good Afternoon
I am looking for a mariage record for Sarah (?) and John Fisher.  We suspect Sarah's maiden name may have been Weaver.  I expect their mariage date would be 1815 to 1825.
Baptism records for two of their children (Edward) and (John) have been found in the: England & Wales, Non-Conformist and Non-Parochial Registers, 1567-1970 RG4: Registers of Births, Marriages and Deaths  Cheshire  Wesleyan  Piece 0573: Bollington, Prestbury (Wesleyan), 1812-1836.  The dates are 1820 - 1830. (On Family Search).

Thank You for any assistance of guidance.

Good Morning

I am currently researching the Fisher family.  Any guidance would be appreciated.
I know that John and Sarah Fisher had a girl named Mary in 1810.  I know that Mary got married to George Berry in Toronto in 1834.  Mary died in 1866. John, Sarah and Mary emigrated to Canada in the 1820's.  Are their emigration records for this period?  Ancestry does not seem to show any UK census in the 1810 - 1830 period.  Is this accurate?

I realize this is not a lot of information, but just wondered if someone could advise me on next research steps.

Thanks

Roger

Thanks for your reply

The idea of looking in German newspapers just came to me yesterday as well.  I have found relatively recent articles about the crash, but they were related to the book that was written on the mission.

Someone mentioned Bomber command loss cards.  I thought these were only completed for US planes, but it is worth looking into.  I do have a crash report from both the RCAF and RAF.  I have a post-war investigation of the crash by the RCAF.  These are quite helpful.

The UK Archives gave me a copy of the mission reports and my uncle's mission is included.  here is a more detailed report but it seems to be missing.  I may have to visit the Archives personally.  Another reason t go to London. :)

Cheers.

Roger
