Thanks for the reply my branch of the Backway Family came from  the Limehouse area of London. Daniel transported to Australia 1840's  son of Daniel 1784-1822 & Elizabeth. Who was the son of John 1734-1804 who married  Mary Blair 1768.
I need a connection  to the Backway's of Devon in the 1650's.

Hi, my name is also Roger Backway and I live in Melbourne, Australia.  I know many of my family originated from the South West of England.  How can I get in touch with the Roger Backway who responded earlier to this thread?  Silverfox543....?
