Hi Crowsfeet,

Thank you for your reply to my message. I havn't come across an Ellen Flack in my search and my Amelia died in September 1855 in Bradwell. It is possible they were related so I will have to check this further information out. At the moment I don't know of any link with the Parker line but if I find out anything I will let you know.

Thanks again and apologies for the delay in my reply.

Good researching

Chris

Thanks for responding so quickly to my query.

I think you are right that the 1921 entry is most likely to be my grandfather and now after many years not knowing, this gives me a starting point to find out more about him.

Thanks again your reply is really appreciated.

Can anyone help locate my grandfather Samuel William Moss who owned a shop (possibly a grocers) in London shortly after 1918. He may only have had it for a few years but any info would be appreciated.

Hi Janet,

Nice to be back in touch after a few years.

Yes I'll email you a copy of Samuel Moss's photo providing your address hasn't changed in the past 3 or so years.

Regards

Chris

Hi Emmeline,

I've just started with Roots Chat and have found your posts about Amelia Flack of Bradwell on Sea very interesting, especially as she is your 3 x Great grandmother

Amelia and John Moss were my 2 x Great grandparents. Their son John, my grandfather's father, was married to Thomas Wills' daughter Elizabeth. After Elizabeth died, he married Jane Victoria (nee Beves) the widow of Thomas Nicholls; my grandfather Samuel and his sister Charlotte were the result!

If this information is of any use to you please get in touch.

Regards

Chris

Lizdb,

Thanks for responding with that information so quickly.

I've heard of SEAX but haven't used it yet and from what you say it is very helpful so must try my hand at it.

Your reply is greatly appreciated

John and Amelia Moss of Bradwell on Sea are my 2 x Great grandparents. John married Amelia Flack there in February 1805.

John and Amelia had several children and he I believe died before the 1841 census. I would welcome any information about this family especially from anyone who may also have them as great grandparents.

Heres hoping,

Chris
