Scotland / Jessie Ann Findley and Charles Dey - Scotland, 1938 ?
« on: Monday 02 May 16 12:05 BST (UK)  »
Is anyone searching for information on this married couple? - possibly 1938 - as I noticed someone is selling an old suitcase on ebay that is filled with old photos and paperwork, and it would be lovely if someone was actually looking for photos of these people, and a shame for someone else to just buy the case and throw the old things away. It's a long shot but I felt I needed to just tell people!

Hi, sorry for delay.

The only one I can find at the moment is one gravestone with;
David John Walters
1 Tramroad Side, Evanstown
Died July 18th 1958 (aged 76)
Margaret Ellen
Died December 25th 1961 (aged 75)
also children
Johnny and Nancy

Many of the gravestones are very old and worn and difficult to read but I will carry on with a systematic search for you.
If this one is of any interest to you I could take a photo and email it to you.

I live near Bryn road, I could take a photo of the chapel which is opposite the Fox and Hounds pub, however it is now converted into a house. the gravestones are still in the grounds. I see this was an old posting but let me know if I can help.

I drive through Glynogwr every day on the way to and from work, would it help if I had a look around the cemetery for you?

Hi, yes it was added onto the end of the last message, sorry to not have replied yet, but we've never heard of it. What is it taken for then?

Thank you. I'm unsure of children names at the moment, I was hoping that names and dates on the stone may help me to expand on that layer of the family.

I will go back to the website and do as you suggest and try to contact the volunteer.

I will let you know of any future breakthroughs !
Cheers again.

Fantastic work - thank you both - I shall study this and hope to decipher some of the writing.

Cheers.
