Thank-you all for your help!  The "David"  I am looking for died before the Massacre of the Ross's. Isobel that came to Nova Scotia we think was sent here as the MacKay's and the Ross's did not get along. But it's the correct clan. Perhaps a visit to Scotland is in order :)

I have John Walsh (1840-) & Desire Cook (1844-1891), i also have this branch on a back burner. But am more than willing to share what I have :)

Hi eacoady,
Sorry for the late reply. I do not know of a Levy Walsh in my genealogy but I have put the Walsh
Lineage on the back burner for now. I am currently working on two other branches of my family.
Here is my lineage thus far:
John Walsh b. 1797 Ireland Carpenter + Mary Mehlman/Melman

John Walsh b.1840 Guysborough Co. farmer + Desire Cook and I think another wife, not sure yet.

John S. Walsh b.1876 Guysborough Co. Farmer + Catherine Grace

Clarance Alonso Walsh b. 1903 Antigonish + Elenor Louise Macintosh

Regards,
Chris

I found the Cote line back to 1600's, still looking into the Long's.
Thanks for your help!
Will be spending a few days sorting these new leads out!

there was a John McLennan wife Christy in the Black Brook area, would be St Mary's polling district, or Garden of Eden depending on the time frame.
There is also a John McLellan with a wife Christy in the same area, many children have similar names :)

recently discovered that the father of Joseph "Coady" (Cottie/Cote) was Amoss Cote and mother Anastacia Long (Believe her mother was Catherine). Amoss would have been born around 1829. believe his father is Amable born about 1808 in Nova Scotia (father from Quebec). Last saw Amable in the 1891 census and it looks like he was in the Monastery (also located him in 1881 and 1871) appears to have stayed in the Antigonish/Guysborough area

Hi I am researching the Pictou County Coady line.

I i have a Frederick Michael Coady (b.25 Feb 1894) married Mary Eleanor Delorey.
Fred's Father Joseph Cottie (b. 17 Aug 1862 and located on an 1881 census as Coté) married Margaret Walsh (b. 1872)

Joseph's father Imable Cottie (b. 1818 possibly I. Mable) married Catherine Long from Nfld & Labrador

Children of Joseph Cottie and Margaret Walsh:
John Simon Coady b. 4 Jan 1888
Claire Cottie b. 1890
James Cottie b. 1 Mar 1890 in Goshen, Nova Scotia
Joseph Coady b. 4 Feb 1892
Frederick Michael Coady
Annie S Cottie b. 16 Mar 1896
Henry Francis Coady b. 8 Apr 1897
Clara W Cottie b. 10 Apr 1900 (baptized Clara Mabel Coté 25 May 1900. St. Patrick's, Lochaber, Antigonish)
Mary Agnes Cottie b. Aug 1902
William A Coady b. 15 Nov 1906

At some point Cody and Cotie also came into the mix of surnames.

I have researched the Margaree/Sheet Harbour Coady's and do not believe there is any connection at all. These Coady's arrived from Ireland, and I believe Imable Coté was a Seaman who possibly came from Quebec. I have always told that we had a connection to Buffalo Bill (his grandfather was born in Ontario and great grandfather was born in Massachusetts so I guess it's possible..)

This is fantastic! About 10 years ago I started researching this on and off, and I never knew about the book of emigration records. Or where to find information back in Scotland

Thank-You!
