I'm sorry I've not been able to get up to Redhill to take photographs.  My daughter got pretty poorly during half term break and now she is getting ready to go back to school on Tuesday.  Let me know if you still need someone to help x

I live around the corner from Redhill Cemetery.  Would be delighted to help you.  Who are you looking for?  If you can give me name, dates etc, I can find their grave.

Ros

No...not childish at all.  An completely understandable reaction.  I was just covering all bases really!

And thanks so much for visiting again sometime.  If there is anything we can do for you over here, let me know!

Hugs

I have already spoken to Ros via private email and explained that when I was looking for pictures of my Great Grandpa's grave, I had made the request here and also through Rookwood Cemetery, who put me on to a lady at the Field of Mars.  The photographs that Ros so kindly took are absolutely beautiful and she was so kind to leave some flowers there for Ernest.  Of my immediate family, myself and my daughter are the only ones not to have visited the Field of Mars.  It sure looks like a beautiful place of rest and we are all hoping we can get some repairs and renovation, however small, to Ernest's plot sometime.

Ros, again, thank you so much for your kindness and thoughfulness with the flowers.  When I told my Dad he was moved to tears and couldn't stop saying 'thankyou'.  I hope you got my other email, about the note that is hidden in the kerb side of the grave.

Hugs

My Great Grandfather is buried in the Field of Mars Cemetery in Ryde, which is just outside Sydney.  I know he's buried in the Church of England section.  His name was Ernest Bradshaw and died in the 1920's.

If anyone is nearby this cemetery and could take a picture of his grave, I would be eternally grateful.

Many thanks!

I am researching within England for the Bradshaw family with some work in Australia.  I am particularly hoping to find someone who lives near the Field of Mars Cemetery in Ryde, Sydney, so they might be able to take a picture of my Great Grandfather's grave.

Note: this thread is a POLL and not for queries. If anyone can help please see topic on Australia board:

Sorry to piggyback on this message, but I live just around the corner from Redhill Cemetery in Arnold, Nottingham (my great-grandparents and grandparents are buried there).  If you've not had any luck with this, I'd be more than happy to help.

Best regards
